- Remember that many clips have some built-in
'intelligence'. Don't be afraid to try the same clip
when you have selected a block of text and without
selection - the result is usually different. You can
always press the UNDO button to return where you were
before the experiment.
- If you would like to add something which you miss in
this clipbook, please use the "Own commands..."
or the "Own math commands"
clips.
- In each menu list in dialogs you can just press
the first letter of the item for quick search.
Pressing it repeatedly takes you to the next item
with the same first letter.
- Some clips ('use package'
, 'Environments'
, etc.) provide
an additional menus (ADD, REMOVE, SORT). These menu items
start with three hyphens "---", and to move quickly to
these built-in menus just press the key "-" when you see
the list of packages, environments, etc. The same method
is used for switching between the simple mode and the
so-called advanced mode in the Font style
clip.
- Use "Favorites" menu in NoteTab for organizing your
work with multi-file LaTeX projects.
- Use "Search/Replace" in "All open documents" for massive
changes.
- If you start working on the file A.TEX and want to keep
the settings and all your additional tools added during
your work on the file B.TEX, the following trick can be
used:
- open the file B.TEX (all related settings will be read
into memory from the file B.UZV)
- run the "# Settings"
clip and change only the main
file name. When you press the OK button, the settings
are saved to the file A.UZV
