29. label

For adding labels.
A dialog box appears which allows to enter the label name and to select the label category (equation, figure, table, section, etc.) The category label is then automatically added as a prefix to the entered label name, so inserted labels look like

\label{eg:Newton law}
\label{fig:Newton apple}
\label{tab:Word frequency}

choose new label

The label is checked for uniqueness. If the entered name is already used in the selected category, a request for another label name is displayed.

The entered label is immediately added to the top of the label list, so you can refer to it immediately using cross reference clip.
