32. making bibliography

1. If you selected 'yes' in the 'Use bibliography databases' field in the '# Settings' clip, then

you are asked for the bibliography style and bibliography name(s), and the pair of \bibliographystyle and \bibliography commands is inserted.

In this case, you should add new bibliography items only to your database(s), and the list(s) of labels will be updated automatically for easy reference using cite clip.

2. If you selected 'no' in the 'Use bibliography databases' field in the '# Settings' clip, then:

• If you work with a multi-part project with \include'd and \input'ed files, then you should select option "main file + several \include'd and \input'ed files". In this case, the \bibitem command is inserted at the current cursor position.

  You are asked to enter the bibliography label, which is checked for uniqueness. If such a label is already in use, you will be asked for a new one.

• If you work with one file and select 'one input document' option in the settings, then this clip checks for presence of the 'thebibliography' environment

  and adds it, if necessary.

Once the 'thebibliography' environment exists, this clip adds new \bibitem at the end of the bibliography list.

You can run this clip when cursor is anywhere in you document. After running the clip, the cursor is at the end of the 'thebibliography' environment. It is a good idea to set a bookmark before running this clip (for fast return to proper place after adding a new bibliography item).

The entered bib item label is immediately added to the reference list, so you can immediately use cite clip.
