Scientific Search

• Web of Knowledge (formerly Web of Science) — this is SCI-Extended (Science Citation Index) on-line. This link works from all universities in Slovakia. Many universities in the world have access to this service — contact your university librarian.
• Scirus — very efficient search engine which specializes on scientific documents.
• CiteSeer — collects documents which are available on-line, and processes citations in them. In fact, this is something like a very good complement to the classical Science Citation Index (or Web of Science, what is essentually the same).
• Google.com — for scientific search use its Advanced Search, enter keywords for search, and set the file type to Postscript, PDF, or DOC.
• Google Scholar (new!) — finds books, articles, preprints and other publications, and even identifies citations (like CiteSeer).
• Scitation— the online home of more than 100 journals from AIP, APS, ASCE, ASME, SPIE, and a host of other prestigious science and engineering societies.
• arXiv.org e-Print archive — the best archive for physicists and mathematicians.
